One trope that Democrats are pushing nationwide is that the Tea Party has helped nominate Republican candidates who are too extreme to appeal to mainstream voters.
With the successes of Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, and Pam Bondi it certainly seems that way here in Florida.
But can Democrats actually take advantage of this?
In the recent Julianne Moore - Annette Benning alternative flick mentioned in the title, the teenage characters display common sense and decency while the adults are all acting badly.
The show made me think of all the fine young people I met during the Obama campaign and how it was the youth vote that was decisive in his 2008 victory.
Now that the primaries are over here in Florida, it is time for the Democratic Party and its statewide candidates to reach out to this constituency and attempt to re-energize it.
While driving over to my son's house this morning I watched City of Tallahassee crews removing all the McCollum For Governor signs illegally placed in the Right-Of-Way.
